Post Abortion Counseling
Losing a child can leave a deep and devastating wound in the heart of a woman. It is not uncommon for a woman who has experienced an abortion to feel the distressing effects immediately—or years later. Many women have reported suffering from such difficult feelings and emotions surrounding the abortion as:
- Guilt and shame
- Mourning/grief
- Anger and aggression
- Self-hatred or low self-esteem
- Insomnia or nightmares
- Loneliness or isolation
- Depression or suicidal thoughts
These may be some of the symptoms associated with an abortion. Women who are dealing with these experiences and feelings can find hope at The Antioch Group. Our therapists provide support, education, coping skills, and a listening ear. We want to walk alongside our clients as they work through these dark experiences and into the light of hope and healing.
