The first five years are a vital time in the life of a child. It is in these sensitive years that many physical, mental and behavioral developments occur. There are many factors that can block or delay this normal development, such as severe childhood trauma, fetal alcohol syndrome, autistic disorders, learning disabilities, etc.
Here at The Antioch Group our therapists are trained to assess and treat children who have been affected or harmed by one or more of these factors. We are experienced in using appropriate and non-intrusive methods with the understanding that young children are vulnerable and sensitive. Our therapists offer age appropriate methods in play and art therapy to provide child counseling to both infants and toddlers.
